The trap is used to reliably monitor the flight period and significantly reduce the plum moth (Grapholita funebrana). Its larvae burrow into damsons, plums, and mirabelles, causing the typical worm damage. The plum moth trap set contains a ready-to-use trap, the matching suspension, lures, and glue inserts. These components are optimally coordinated and make use in the orchard considerably easier. If required, the lure and glue inserts can also be purchased separately as “Plum Moth Lure” refills. One trap should be hung per 250 m² or—if the planting distance is greater—one trap per tree, ideally in the upper part of the canopy.

The pheromone trap is used both to monitor infestation and reduce the population, but it does not replace comprehensive pest control. It reliably indicates the start and intensity of moth activity, enabling targeted monitoring. It is also recommended that fallen, infested fruit be removed consistently and immediately so that any larvae inside cannot continue developing. This combination of monitoring and orchard hygiene can significantly reduce pest pressure in the long term.

Application:

Hang the trap from April; it should remain in place until August. One dispenser lasts approximately 4 weeks. For good trapping performance, insert the second dispenser after 4 weeks. Replace the glue inserts approximately every 2 to 3 weeks, depending on how dirty they are. Hang 1 trap per 250 m², or 1 trap per tree if the spacing is greater than 20 m. Place it at eye level on the outside of the tree canopy.
