One of the main pr oblems of eyelid margin inflammation (blepharitis) is the hardening of the secretion of the Talglands (meibomian glands) located in the eyelid margin. This can lead to the formation of crusts on the edge of the eyelid and eyelashes. The heat treatment softens the crusts on the edge of the eyelid and the secretion of the meibomian glands. This makes it easier to remove the crusts and the secretion can simply be wiped out during the subsequent eyelid massage. It is therefore extremely important in order to maintain or improve the function of the meibomian glands bess.
However, the heat treatment is only successful if a warm and humid climate is maintained at a constant temperature of approx. 45 °C for 5 - 10 minutes.
The POSIFORLID eye mask is a self-heating eye mask that fulfills these requirements in a special way and can be reused approx. 90 times.
