This exquisite Genmaicha comes from Shizuoka Prefecture on the main island of Honshū. The region is known as the center of the Japanese tea trade. The region’s unique soil conditions, combined with a distinctive climate, set it apart and allow the tea plants to thrive. The base for our Genmaicha is a particularly high-quality, small-leaf green tea—in stark contrast to the usual simpler, large-leaf Bancha varieties typically used for Genmaicha.
