Tegaderm Film is a primary dressing for obsuperficial and epithelializing wounds, as a protective covering of vulnerable skin or also as a secondary dressing for moist wound treatment. Properties: thin polyurethane film with latex-free, hypoallergenic adhesive, breathable, permeable to water vapor, waterproof, impermeable to bacteria and viruses, easy application, long wearing time, atraumatic removal by overstretching, ensures unrestricted control of skin and wound due to transparency.

Indications:

As protection in clean, closed surgical wounds, as secondary dressing in combination with Tegaderm Alginate orTegaderm Hydrogel, obsuperficial wounds such as abrasions, skin tears and blisters, for fixation of wound dressings such as Tegaderm Foam or Tegaderm Hydrocolloid.

Contraindications:

Do not apply to areas of critically colonized or infected wounds.

Application:

Skin must be dry and free of grease. Remove the backing paper. Transparency allows for precise positioning over the wound. Model the dressing from the center outward. Prolonged pressing for approx. 15 seconds optimizes the adhesive strength. Pull the application frame flat to the outside and apply the final coat to the dressing.
