3M Tegaderm I.V. Advanced is a strong adhesive fixation dressing made of two specially designed adhesive films that provide excellent adhesion even when the skin is moist. The clear film over the puncture site secures and protects the catheter, while the nonwoven border stabilizes the dressing and provides strong support. The deep slit of the dressing redirects tensile forces on the dressing to the entire adhesive surface, preventing point overload. In addition, retaining tabs allow for precise positioning and aseptic, non-contact application of the dressing.
