The Bach-Blüten essences go back to the Englishman Edward Bach. He assigned an essence to each of the negative states of mind he postulated as being responsible for all suffering and illness. This essence is supposed to promote the harmonisation of the state of mind. Traditionally, the numbered essences have English names and are assigned to different areas of application. The individual blossoms are still collected today at the locations formerly determined by Bach in England and ritually processed according to the potentisation methoddescribed by him.
