Exposure to the sun produces free radicals in the skin. Beta-carotene, vitamins C and E act as free radical scavengers in the skin and help to protect the cells from oxidative stress. Calcium stabilizes the cell walls and thus reduces the release of histamine. Histamine is a tissue hormone that can cause itching, blistering and reddening of the skin.
Recommended dosage
drink 1 effervescent tablet per day dissolved in a glass of water. Calcium Sandoz Sun & Day is suitable for sports, work and leisure activities outdoors, as well as for intensive UV Belexposure.
