The product combination, Cyto-Set® main infusion line and one to four Cyto-Set® Mix or Cyto-Set® Line secondary lines, forms the closed system Cyto-Set®, which can be used for the safe and almost complete administration of oncological therapeutics and other carcinogenic, mutagenic or reprotoxic drugs (CMR substances).

Cyto-Set® is suitable for gravity or pump infusion application as well as for connection to infusion bags and containers with carrier infusion solution (NaCl 0.9% or glucose 5%). The respective specifications of the Fainformation (FI) of the manufacturer of the active substance must be observed for preparation, transportation and administration.

Thanks to its special design and technical components, Cyto-Set® reduces the possibility of chemical and micro obial contamination of humans, medicines and the environment. The extensive product portfolio enables convenient and safe use in all process steps.

Cyto-Set® Infusomat® plus, with UV protection

Before use, Cyto-Set® Infusomat®plus is deaerated with a drug-compatible carrier infusion solution (NaCl 0.9% or glucose 5%).

For the administration of concomitant medication as well as oncological therapeutics prepared individually for each patient by the pharmacy, the infusion containers are connected to the valve connections of the Cyto-Set® Infusomat®plus main line using the connected secondary lines Cyto-Set® Mix or Cyto-Set® Line.

We recommend connecting concomitant medication to the obfirst valve, which can be disconnected after administration depending on Belieben, as the administered active substance is harmless. The connection of the oncological therapeutics should only be connected shortly before the actual administration. An acoustic feedback ("click") signals a firm connection during the first connection.

During therapy, all clamps are closed, except those for the oncological agent to be administered or the carrier infusion solution for rinsing. A rinsing step with 50-60 ml of compatible carrier infusion solution always follows the administration of medication and the last administration of the active substance. This flushing step is carried out at the flow rate of the previous active substance (Caution! Do not administer as a bolus). The secondary lines are not disconnected after administration of the oncological agent.

S obald the therapy is finished, the Cyto-Set® Infusomat®plus is disposed of together with the infusion containers connected by the secondary lines Cyto-Set® Mix and Cyto-Set® Line as a closed system. Cyto-Set Infusomat®plus is available with two or four needle-free non-return valves and a needle-free valve close to the patient. Other variants in the portfolio include UV protection or a 0.2 µm ® inline filter (polyethersulfone). The variants with an AirStop membrane contain an air-separating polysulfone filter ≤ 15 µm in the drip chamber base. All other ® main lines have a 15 µm polyamide filter.
