When is the use of an FFP2 mask recommended:

The Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) recommends that physicians and medical caregivers use an FFP2 protective mask when treating and caring for persons suspected of being infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19). Wearing of the protective mask is recommended for up to 30 minutes during activities with a high risk of aerosol formation. The maximum wearing time of FFP2 mask is 8 hours, so it can be worn during the whole working shift.

Use of FFP2 masks:

FFP2 masks provide effective protection only when properly donned and worn. Even before use, be sure to check the durability of the protective mask and follow the instructions for use. Before touching each protective mask for the first time, wash hands thoroughly with soap or hand sanitizer. In the first step, preform a nose clip with one finger.
