Eakin Cohesive® absorbs moisture quickly and continuously for 72 hours. Eakin Cohesive® seals and ensures that moisture does not come into contact with the skin - crucial for preventing maceration and skin inflammation. The skin protection ring is suitable for daily skin protection and safety. It is ideal for frequent changes of stoma dressing and for mild skin irritations. The completely alcohol-free Eakin Cohesive® formula consists of only five very skin-friendly components that gently regulate the physiological pH value of the skin. Eakin Cohesive® forms a skin-protective gel phase and thus reduces the digestive activity of tissue-degrading substances. This prevents aggressive and enzyme-containing excretions (urine and stool) from attacking the skin through toxic damage and causing irritation. This special gel formation additionally protects sensitive skin structures and also enables an atraumatic change of care. The Eakin Cohesive® skin protection forms a protective barrier against micro obial infestation and prevents mycotic colonization by regulating the pH value of the skin. This prevents micr obial attack on the skin. Current studies show that the Eakin Cohesive® material is also resistant to fungal infestation compared to skin protection materials from other manufacturers.

Application

Clean and dry the surrounding skin. Warm the skin protection between your hands before removing the protective paper. Remove the paper and carefully knead and stretch the Cohesive® skin protection ring to fit the individual body shape. Place the Cohesive® skin protection ring on the body and mold it so that it fits snugly around the stoma. No skin should be exposed directly around the stoma. Flatten the outer edge of the skin protection. A particularly good seal can be achieved with warm hands. Apply the pouch or base plate as usual and hold in position for 30 seconds.
