Exufiber Ag+ with Hydrolock technology is a sterile, gel-forming Faserver dressing with rapid antimicr obial action for long-lasting protection against a wide range of Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, including resistant bacteria such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE) - as well as fungi and viruses. Exufiber Ag+ has been proven to kill 99 percent of fungi, bacteria and viruses within 24 hours (in vitro) and can contribute to less odor. When Exufiber Ag+ comes into contact with wound exudate, it forms a gel. The gel in turn ensures that a moist wound healing environment is maintained. The Faserver dressing has a high wet tear resistance so that it can be easily removed in one piece when the dressing is changed. The high absorption and retention capacity reduces the risk of leakage and maceration. You can use Exufiber Ag+ on moderately to heavily exuding wounds. Exufiber Ag+ can also be used in combination with Mepilex Border Flex with Safetac.
