The low-purine food from Herrmann's was specially developed for dogs that need to be fed a low-purine diet due to a disease, as is often the case with leishmaniasis. To avoid purines, Herrmann's only uses muscle meat and no offal, and only 40% meat, but more sweet potato with potassium and vitamin E. Rosehip powder provides valuable antioxidants. It is rounded off with nettle to support kidney function, eggshell powder for a good calcium-phosphorus ratio and kelp with iodine.
