Application:

The stethoscopes may only be used by authorized Fach personnel. The structure of a stethoscope consists of an earpiece, tube system and chest piece. Depending on the examination, the stethoscope should be placed on the desired body region and used under low pressure. With double-sided stethoscopes, the input channel (funnel or membrane) can be selected by switching.

Operation:

The basic principle of hearing through a stethoscope is the "oscillating air column". A closed air column must be formed so that sound can be transmitted. When putting on the stethoscope with earhook, position the earhook tubes so that the ear olives are slightly forward - towards the nose of the person being examined - to ensure that they fit into the ear canal in a way that corresponds to the anatomy of the ear. Place the membrane or funnel on the area to be examined.
