Swiss tradition and quality

Originally specializing in the import of peanut oil, the Fafamily business La Semeuse was founded in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1900 by Marc Bloch, who came from an Alsatian-Jewish Fafamily of spice traders. After the Second World War, his son and daughter-in-law gave up the oil trade and devoted themselves to importing, roasting and selling coffee. In May 2015, the grandson of the company founder of the same name, Marc Bloch, decided to sell La Semeuse to the Neuchâtel-based Familie Bihler and its company Choco Diffusion in order to strengthen and promote the brand's awareness and presence in German-speaking Switzerland and neighboring countries. However, the tradition-conscious coffee roastery in the Neuchâtel Jura continues to operate as an independent company and its name and coffee continue to stand for Swiss quality products.
