The Me Luna menstrual cup is inserted into the vagina during menstruation to collect menstrual blood safely and odorlessly. The blood is not absorbed as with tampons or pads, but collected (between 8 ml and 30 ml of fluid depending on the model) and emptied regularly.

Softness level and size

Me Luna Classic softness is suitable for women with normal pelvic floor muscles who have previously been able to use tampons without pain or pressure. A menstrual cup should be easy to insert and then unfold completely inside the vagina. This is the only way it can function perfectly, seal properly and safely collect the blood. The pressure of the surrounding muscles must not prevent the menstrual cup from unfolding. The material must therefore have a certain amount of elasticity. On the other hand, the material should not be uncomfortably hard, as a menstrual cup should not cause any feeling of pressure. How this is perceived also depends on the condition of the pelvic floor muscles and the chosen size.

The material of the Me Luna Classic has a softness level of 40 Shore and ideally fulfills the main requirements of a menstrual cup. It is pleasantly soft, easy to fold and still has enough elasticity for easy unfolding. The Me Luna Classic is therefore best suited for most women.

Criteria for size selection can be: menstrual flow, vaginal births, your pelvic floor muscles and the position of the cervix during menstruation.

Size S is often used by young women with good musculature and weaker menstruation.
