Hemostatic and wound healing absorbent cotton for nosebleeds or bleeding of the skin and mouth.

Sterile, bioactive powder. Especially practical, for cuts on the head, irritations and injuries in Falten areas, sore buttocks, but also for injuries in the fur in pets. 5 individual, ready-to-use and hemostatic cotton pieces made of calcium alginate, individually packed. Stop Hémo is:

• hemostatic: the introduction of calcium into the wound allows to accelerate the coagulation process and thus to stop the bleeding quickly
• wound healing: the calcium allows to stimulate the key cells for cicatrization
• soothing: on contact with the wound, the Fasern gels to maintain the wound in a moist environment. This helps to reduce the sensation of pain.

Stop Hémo is effective in patients with bleeding disorders congenital or caused by therapies (antiplatelet agents, vitamin K antagonists, heparin). Stop Hémo can be used in children, pregnant women and adults.

Use

Nosebleeds (epistaxis):

• Tilt head forward and blow nose gently to remove all blood clots.
• Open the pouch along the dash line. Roll Stop Hémo into a compact stick. Stop Hémo can be moistened with a saline solution of NaCl 0.9% only to facilitate insertion into the nostril.
• Insert Stop Hémo into the nostril and press both nostrils closed for 10 minutes.
• Leave Stop Hémo in the nose for a minimum of 30 minutes and a maximum of 24 hours. Use the bag for disposal.

Bleeding in the mouth / tooth extraction (lips, gums, tongue,...):

• Place Stop Hémo on the wound and remove it s obald the bleeding has stopped.

Skin wounds (bleeding and/or healing:

• Clean the injury with soap or water (or with a saline solution NaCl 0.9%), place Stop Hémo on the wound and: - remove it after bleeding has stopped, or - leave it on the wound to heal and remove it after 24 hours.

If bleeding persists, seek medical advice. When removing, do not attempt to remove any Faserns that may have remained in the wound; these will disappear on their own with the crust. Stop Hémo can be used with lidocaine-naphazoline.

Instructions

Stop Hémo can only be moistened with a saline solution NaCl 0.9%: the Na+ ions of the NaCl solution exchange with the Ca2+ ions of Stop Hémo, which leads to gelling and enables painless removal of Stop Hémo. Check the integrity of the package before use. Never cut or tear apart Stop Hémo. Stop Hémo must be removed after 24 hours. Single use. Do not reuse as there is a risk of micr obial contamination and loss of efficacy. Stop Hémo must not be used with alkaline solutions such as sodium hypochlorite, containing chlorhexidine, benzalkonium chloride or copper nitrate. If these products get on the wound, rinse abundantly with a NaCl 0.9% solution before applying Stop Hémo.
