The Weleda brine toothpaste provides natural protection against tooth decay and tartar. Sea salt in a toothpaste makes sense. Because salt stimulates the flow of saliva. The teeth, surrounded by abundant flowing saliva, are cleaned gently. Thus, the Weleda brine toothpaste supports and strengthens the physiological process of self-cleaning. The Weleda brine toothpaste also contains a solid, easily soluble cleaning agent made of sodium bicarbonate, which removes plaque and thus prevents tooth decay. In addition, it neutralizes the acids that are harmful to tooth enamel, which in the long term protects against the formation of tartar. Sea salt also helps because it enters into an exchange with the surface of the gums (osmosis) and thus strengthens them.
