Assura Base plates are available in two different convex varieties to better care for stomas that are, for example, flush with the skin, retracted, or located in a skin fold that is difficult to care for. The curved shape exerts pressure on the skin surrounding the stoma. It thus allows the stoma to emerge from the skin and reduces the risk of leakage. Convex Light is a variant for stomas that are flush with the skin or slightly retracted, providing additional security by applying light, gentle pressure to the abdomen.
