Hydrocoll® is a self-adhesive, absorbent hydrocolloid dressing, with a water vapor permeable, yet germ and waterproof polyurethane film. When wound exudate is absorbed, a gel is formed which provides a moist environment. The gel remains absorbent until the hydrocolloids are saturated; promotes granulation and epithelialization. Hydrocoll® is suitable for the treatment of low to moderate exuding, non-infected wounds, especially chronic wounds with poor healing tendency and difficult, protracted granulation build-up, such as leg ulcers or decubitus ulcers. Sterile and individually packed.
