Dosage swimming pool:

After filling the pool, always first reduce the alkali content to 100 ppm with hydrochloric acid 32%

During the swimming season, if the pH value should fall below 7.0:

• per 0.1 pH unit = 75 - 100 g of WATCON PLUS per 10,000 liters
• First dissolve the calculated amount of WATCON PLUS in a bucket of water! Then slowly pour it into the water along the edge of the pool while circulating. Alternatively: Simply sprinkle the granules onto the water surface obwhile the circulation is running.
• After 12 hours, check the pH value and if it is still too high, repeat the dosage as described at ob

Calculation example based on an alkalinity of 100 ppm:

• Gemeat pH = 6.8
• Target value = 7.2
• Correction by 0.4 pH units = 4 x 75-100 g = 300 - 400 g/10,000 liters

First dissolve the calculated amount of WATCON PLUS in a bucket of water! Then pour it slowly into the water along the edge of the pool while the filter system is running!

Dosage whirlpool:

Faif the pH-value is below 7.0, increase it to the ideal value of 7.2 with WATCON PLUS:

• approx. 15-20 g WATCON PLUS for 1'000 liters, sprinkle directly into the water.
• Faif necessary, add more until the pH value of 7.2 is reached.

Possible causes of a too low pH-value:

• Soft water, such as in pools in the Ticino.
• Soft water tends to have an acidic pH.
• Water is older than one year. The older the water is, the more acidic and soft it becomes.
• Too large addition of hydrochloric acid (ev. Falsch calculation during alkalinity adjustment).
• Premature measurement after hydrochloric acid addition (wait at least 8 days after the last hydrochloric acid addition before measuring).
• Too generous WATCON-MINUS dosage.
