Meadow goat's beard usually grows on swampy brook edges. It has thick stems that branch out in a capillary system into many tiny umbels, which together form the magnificent flower cluster. The flowers have a very special scent. The stem is smooth, glabrous, sometimes reddish brown. It quickly pulls up a lot of water and sprays it into the air through its summer cloud-like inflorescences. Insects, which produce the summer heat in the form of materialized poison, like to cool down in their vicinity. The fruit is the size of the head of a pin. The leaves are tomentose on the lower side and grass-green on the top. Like the willow, the goat's beard develops salicylates; they are nature's "fire extinguishers". The goatee develops the same powers in humans as in plants as in nature.

Application:

The fresh plant towels are used as a practical envelope.
