The innovative wound dressing combines the effective exudate management of Cutimed Siltec with the active ingredient-free antimicr obial effect of Cutimed Sorbact. Germs are bound and inactivated from the wound on the basis of hydroph obical interaction and without the use of chemical substances (Sorbact® principle): The special coating with DACC (dialkylcarbamoyl chloride) gives Cutimed Siltec Sorbact strong hydroph obe (water-repellent) properties. Pathogenic bacteria and fungi are hydroph ob ic by nature and therefore bind irreversibly to the wound dressing. This reduces the number of germs in the wound with each dressing change and creates optimum conditions for the natural wound healing process.

At the same time, the foam body and the integrated superabsorbents of Cutimed Siltec Sorbact ensure vertical absorption of the exudate. Application

Cutimed Siltec Sorbact is suitable for all unclean, contaminated or infected wounds and is used for moderately to heavily exuding wounds or for the prophylaxis of wounds at risk of infection tg:

• chronic wounds (e.g. venous, arterial or diabetic ulcers and pressure ulcers).
• post-operative wounds and wound dehiscences.
• traumatic wounds.
