Curcumin is a fat-soluble molecule. The combination of the curcumin molecule with a phospholipid creates a complex that mimics the nature of the absorption and metabolism of curcumin. Curcumin thus achieves a bioavailability 29 times higher than conventional curcumin and is better able to cross cell membranes to get into the cell interior. The curcumin-phospholipid complex has already been investigated in 29 clinical studies with 2000 participants.
Curcumin products are often offered in combination with piperine (black pepper extract) to improve bioavailability. However, this can lead to drug interactions1. Curcumin phospholipid does not require the addition of piperine.
Properties:
- High bioavailability: 29 times higher bioavailability of curcumin in the phospholipid complex
- Well-proven: Tested in 29 clinical studies with 2000 participants
