Immediately soluble acid granules for lowering too high pH in swimming pool water and whirlpool.

Dosage swimming pool:

After filling the pool, always first reduce the alkali content to 100 ppm with hydrochloric acid 32%.

During the swimming season, if the pH level rises above 7.4:

• per 0.1 pH unit = 75 g WATCON MINUS per 10'000 liters
• First dissolve the calculated amount of WATCON MINUS in a bucket of water! Then slowly pour it into the water along the edge of the pool while circulating. Alternatively: Simply sprinkle the granules onto the water surface obwhile the circulation is running.
• After 12 hours, check the pH value and if it is still too high, repeat the dosage as described at ob
• Hard water needs more, soft water less WATCON MINUS

Calculation example based on an alkalinity of 100 ppm:

• Gemessen pH value = 8.0, target value = 7.2
• Correction by 0.8 pH units = 8 x 75 g = 600 g/10,000 liters

Dosage Whirlpool:

Falls the pH value is above 7.4, reduce to the ideal value of 7.2 with WATCON MINUS:

• approx. 20 g WATCON MINUS for 1'000 liters, sprinkle directly into the water.
• Faif necessary, add more until the pH value of 7.2 is reached.

WATCON MINUS for filter backwashing (= super cleaning) of the sand filter:

• To clean the sand filter from strongly adhering dirt (and therefore reduce chlorine consumption), use WATCON MINUS approx. 3 - 4 times per bathing season.
• During the filter backwash, add approx. 500 g of WATCON MINUS slowly (within approx. 2 minutes) to the skimmer.
• The acid granulate dissolves the firmly adhering dirt, which is then removed via backwashing.

Remarks

• WATCON MINUS tends to become hard (hygroscopic). This does NOT result in any loss of quality!
• The crystal blocks can easily be broken up mechanically.
• The pH value of the swimming pool water should be checked 1 - 2 times a week and corrected if necessary.
