Classic chai spices rze such as soft cinnamon, fiery ginger and aniseed, blended with weak rze tea, make YOGI TEA Black Chai a particularly strong and aromatic tea. A small addition of rooibos gives it a velvety note. Sweetened and served with a little milk* (*or a vegan milk variant), this is how people like to drink chai in India. The subtle message of this tea is: "Determination and risk oberacity."
Weak rztea
Unlike green tea, weak rztea, whose leaves are fermented, was an integral part of Asian tea culture centuries ago. Today, it is one of the most popular teas in the world. Due to its high caffeine content, it is often seen as an alternative to coffee. Schwa rzer tea tastes pleasantly bitter and aromatic.
Ginger
Whether in Christmas cookies, curry mixes or lemonade, the bulbous ginger is one of the best-known spices rzin the world. It has been cultivated for thousands of years in the tropical heat of eastern Asia and gives many of our YOGI TEA®s a fruity, spicy, aromatic rzig flavor.
Cinnamon
Cinnamon is one of the most expensive spices rzin the world and is said to have been used as a spice in China as early as 3,000 years BC rz. Cinnamon is obtained from the bark of the South Asian cinnamon tree, has an aromatic, sweet taste and contains valuable essential oils.
Aniseed
This annual plant, whose sweet-tasting fruit has been revered by people for thousands of years, grows in Asia and south-east of the Mediterranean. In the past, aniseed was sacrificed to the gods, but today it can be found in kitchens, Christmas baked goods and as a delicious spice rz in many YOGI TEA®s.
schwa rzer pepper
Also known as the "king of spices rze", weak rze pepper is the most important spice in the world today alongside salt rz. It originally comes from the Indian Malabar coast and has an intensely spicy and slightly hot to hot rze taste.
Cloves
Cloves are the flower buds of the spice rzclove tree and are primarily known in our latitudes as a spice rz in both sweet and savory dishes. They belong to the myrtle family and have an intensely rzicy aroma, for which they were even valued in gold in ancient China and Egypt.
